Favorite Podcast Round Up 🎙🎉
One of my favorite conversations is what podcasts my friends are listening to and sending each other new shows or episodes that make us think about each other!
Here is a quick round-up of a few of my personal favorite shows and some of my friend’s favs too! (All titles of shows are linked to Spotify for easy access. If you need an episode recommendation send me a DM and I would be happy to suggest more specifically)
I look forward to this podcast every single week. Jess’s words have served me since I was a freshman in college. My friend Brie and I have a standing voice memo date after every episode drops to talk about what we are learning, and how to apply different things to our contexts. I think this is the podcast that has had the most influence on my life in the last 7 years.
This is a passion project that Brenna Morris started this year. I don’t know Brenna personally, I learned of her from following Jess Connolly for so many years when Brenna used to produce the Go and Tell Gals pod. I started following Brenna on IG this year and likely without intending to, Brenna has inspired me to live more free on the internet and truly take myself less seriously. I love that for me and I hope you enjoy her stories too.
Kailey Dickerson, wife of country music star Russel Dickerson is both a deep well and a hoot in a half. Fun fact we shop at the same Target here in Brentwood. Another fun fact- the night Danny and I had our first DTR was after getting stuck in traffic after an RD show. She has the best guests and asks great questions. A great one for new moms as she has two littles, and those who like to hear different perspectives on relationships!
This is by Matt and Abby Howard (social media influencers) and they really just share about their life. They have some interesting hot takes and interests that I don’t normally think about. They are easy listening for a drive, walking through the grocery store, or getting laundry folded.
5. For The Girl
Mac and Kenz from Delight Ministries host a young adult podcast for Christian women. I have had the honor of meeting both of them when they hosted their podcast tour at our church and they are as kind and genuine in person as what you will here behind the mic. I really like that they are wrapping up this year with a marriage series for younger married couples!
One thing about me is (if you read that in the trending reels sound then we are on the same page) that Gilmore Girls is my comfort show forever. I have watched it all the way through multiple times and just keep coming back. This podcast is hot takes, story arcs, character tropes etc. that true Gilmore Girls fans will freak out about. Another fun fact from my year is that I lowkey got Danny hooked and his favorite characters are not who you’d likely think.
7. Real Talk with Rachel Awtrey (formally known as Behind the Bliss)
Another fav! Rachel is all the big sister vibes you might need. She talks about marriage, and sex and motherhood and friendship and therapy and communication and grief and her favorite target finds. Like what can be better?
