2024 In List
We are talking Instagram trends, frill, taking the pressure off, and letting joy fight for you!
Did you see the trend?
There is a trend that has been going around Instagram for the first 2 weeks of the year where people are sharing their “in’s and out’s”of 2024. I love reading them. I love seeing what people are hoping for, dreaming about, habits they are adding. I am seeing women slow down more and become more intentional about consuming. I feel like a scrolling cheerleader as they are taking the pressure off of perfectionism.
I was at a vision board event last weekend and was talking to the table about this social media trend and I realized that I really didn’t make an “out list.” I had a long list of practices that brighten my world, but not much on what to remove or leave behind. I heard myself say, “I think I lived 2023 in as much as I possibly could and that is how I want 2024 to be too.” I don’t mean in like on trend, but what I mean is being true to the woman the Lord has built me to be and living in that abundance as much as possible. I took the pressure off and came back to what I liked. I took the pressure off and tried something new. I took the pressure off and asked for help.
My 2024 in list has a bunch of frills, a sprinkle of whimsy, a few big prayers, and a lot of margin for this year to look differently than I plan it to. When we take the pressure off, things like joy, celebration, delight, and fun enter back into the picture. I pray that you find some space to hope for what could be even if 2024 did not start off the way you thought. The Lord gave us joy as a weapon of our warfare to praise, to sing, to cartwheel even if we need to. I am praying that this permission helps you come back to whatever goodness got squeezed out in the pressure of the new year and remember that these are the days.
Here is a look at a few of my ins this year.
If you made an in/out list I would love to see it! Feel free to send it to me via email or IG dm. Cheering you as you live life to its fullest potential and take the pressure off to remember that these are the days!
