Why Email Marketing?

There are so many reasons why newsletters are important and I thought it would be appropriate to bring my people into the nuts and bolts behind starting an email list.

The first MAJOR reason is that it helps me send you things of value. My entire goal in writing in the internet space is to encourage the gal following along in her everyday life. However you got here, I am so grateful and it is my mission to steward the words shared here, the resources created, and everything in between. Emails allow me get these tools into your hands much faster.

The second reason is that social media platforms are fickle. Algorithms change, owners make up new rules, and culture ebbs and flows. I want to make it easy for you to not miss a blog post, product, podcast launch, IG conversation etc. if you are wanting to stay in the loop.

Third, this holds me WILDLY accountable to face my fears. As much as it terrifies me to put my writing in the hands of more people, I know that the Lord has given me a gift of communicating via writing. I know that the Lord has asked me to show up for this generation by being an encourager in online spaces - especially for the teen gal who just needs some big sis encouragement. I know that He has placed big dreams about publishing actual words that you can hold in your very hands. I know that this is a baby step in the immediate and a huge step in the long run toward getting me out of a very real comfort zone and makes me stop playing small with the gifts God has given me.

The last reason is one that I feel is important to share with those who value transparency and might have similar dreams as mine. It’s kind of hard to imagine what would happen if Instagram or Facebook just ceased to exist tomorrow. It is hard to imagine what creators, small businesses, writers, podcasters, comedians, influencers, etc. would do if the main way they created content just stopped. The reality is - I don’t own Instagram. I have exactly ZERO control over if you see my stories and posts, or if Meta one day just closes up shop (kind of like what we are seeing with TikTok). The way I do know how to continue moving forward if that were to happen is by making sure I have another way of encouraging you online. An email list allows me to have more autonomy in how to go about sharing content and for that I am grateful.

Thanks a million -

Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading my words. I don’t take it lightly that you have chosen to support me in this way. It is a dream come true to share words and resources with you.
